Dieboldt House
Old Lyme, CT
This housed was based around a Neutra pool house and worked with many of the principals of the Case Study program. The plan is organized as a cruciform with the main public rooms facing onto a large swimming pool which overlaps with the living area to create a large indoor/outdoor room. Common materials are used in unconventional ways. The main floors are concrete and the exterior walls are a simple copper cladding system. The four car garage houses a small collection of vintage automobiles.
